The federal Junior Duck Stamp Program invites K-12 students to submit original wildlife art through a state-level contest that feeds into national judging each spring. The National Best of Show winner receives a $1,000 cash award and a trip to the First Day of Sale ceremony, and their artwork becomes the next year's Junior Duck Stamp. Second place ($500), third place ($200), and the Conservation Message award ($200) are also given nationally.
