Tempe Diablos Charities funds scholarships for graduating seniors from any Tempe Union High School District school, or any Tempe, Arizona resident attending a publicly funded, accredited Arizona high school, headed to Arizona State University, a Maricopa County Community College, or an eligible accredited Arizona trade school; applicants must also qualify as Arizona residents for tuition purposes. The Maricopa Community College track pays $2,000/year, renewable up to 7 consecutive semesters if the student submits each semester's transcript, and requires a 3.0 GPA OR top-25%-class-rank OR a 1040 SAT OR a 22 ACT, plus a personal statement, an activities list, a transcript, and one letter of recommendation. The trade-school track pays up to $2,000/year (capped at $8,000 over four years), requires only a 2.5 GPA, and must be reapplied for each semester or year. Students applying to ASU use ASU's own scholarship process rather than a Tempe Diablos-specific application. Financial need is considered but not required, and members of the Tempe Diablos and their immediate family are not eligible.
