High school teams compete on personal-finance knowledge through a multi-round format: an online qualifying round, state-level competition through state economics councils, and a National Finals quiz bowl. The 2026 National Finals are held in Atlanta, Georgia on June 1, where the top four teams win cash prizes (exact amounts are not published). Food, hotel, and event costs are covered for qualifying teams at Finals; transportation to and from the team's home state is not included.
