American Legion Department of New Jersey Scholarship

The American Legion, Department of New Jersey awards eight scholarships a year to graduating high school and vo-tech seniors: two at $3,000, two at $1,500, three at $1,000, plus a related $1,500 John Casey Scholarship for the descendant of a combat-wounded member. You must be the natural or adopted descendant of someone who is, or was at the time of their death, a member of the Department of New Jersey. Winners are judged on character, community service, leadership, academics, and financial need, and the award must be used in the year you receive it.

DemographicsMust be the natural or adopted descendant of a member of the American Legion, Department of New Jersey (current member, or a member at the time of their death).
