The AGC Maine Education Foundation awards scholarships to Maine residents entering or already enrolled in a construction-related field of study, such as construction management or engineering, at an accredited Maine post-secondary school; a graduating high school senior applies using a high school transcript. Applicants submit a 300-word essay on why they are pursuing a construction career, along with two references, and finalists are interviewed before awards are announced. The Foundation has awarded more than $650,000 in scholarships since 1993.
