Community Bankers Association of Georgia Jan & Julian Hester Memorial Scholarship

The Community Bankers Association of Georgia awards four $1,000 scholarships each year to Georgia high school seniors who are sponsored by a local community bank and plan to attend a Georgia college, university, or technical institute full-time. Selection is based on academic merit rather than financial need, weighing leadership activities, a short essay on community banking, a teacher recommendation, and a transcript. The scholarship honors former CBA of Georgia CEO Julian Hester and his daughter Jan.

DemographicsMust be a Georgia high school senior sponsored by a local community bank; the membership belongs to the bank, not the student, and costs the student nothing.
