Dallas County Promise is a last-dollar scholarship coalition covering more than 90 high schools across 13 Dallas County school districts. It pays whatever gap remains in tuition and fees at Dallas College or one of nine partner universities (East Texas A&M, Midwestern State, Tarleton State, Texas Woman's University, UNT Denton, UNT Dallas, UT Arlington, and UT Dallas) after Pell Grant, Texas Grant, and other financial aid are applied. Students complete the Promise Path form during senior year, apply to a partner college, submit financial aid documents (demonstrating Pell/TEXAS Grant eligibility or financial need depending on the partner school), and enroll the fall immediately after graduation.
DemographicsMust graduate from one of the 90+ participating high schools across Dallas County's 13 partner school districts and enroll the following fall at a Dallas County Promise partner college or university (Dallas College or one of 9 partner universities).
Covers the gap in tuition/fees remaining after Pell Grant, Texas Grant, and other financial aid; 2025 household AGI limits of $85,000-$100,000 apply depending on partner institution.
