The LANL Foundation gives out more than 30 unique Four-Year Undergraduate Scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors (and current undergraduates) from its seven-county northern New Mexico service area who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in any field of study. Awards range from $1,000 for a single year up to $20,000 total over four years and are renewable as long as the recipient stays in good academic standing and meets minimum GPA and enrollment requirements. A single competitive application covers all of the Foundation's undergraduate awards and asks for a minimum 3.25 unweighted cumulative GPA, three short essays (up to 250 words each) plus one optional essay, and two letters of recommendation.
DemographicsMust be a resident of the Foundation's seven-county service area: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos County, New Mexico.
$1,000 for one year up to $20,000 total over four years of renewal, not a flat per-year figure.
