The Nancy Susan Reynolds Scholarship is one of Wake Forest University's most selective merit awards, given to up to five incoming students each year since 1982. It covers the annual cost of tuition, room, and board, plus $3,400 for personal expenses, and scholars can apply for up to $5,000 during each of three summers between their first and senior years to fund an independent research, study, or travel project. There is no separate scholarship application — every applicant to Wake Forest is automatically considered — but candidates should have pursued the most rigorous curriculum available, rank near the top of the applicant pool academically, and show creative leadership recognized at the regional, state, or national level. Finalists are invited to campus for interviews and notified by the end of March.
