The Boettcher Scholarship is one of Colorado's most competitive scholarships, covering up to $20,000 a year toward either the total cost of attendance or tuition and fees at a partner Colorado college, for up to four years. Selection is holistic rather than GPA-cutoff based, weighing scholastic ability, leadership, community service, and character; around 50 students are chosen as initial winners each year after interviews.
DemographicsMust be a graduating Colorado high school senior who has lived in Colorado through junior and senior year (or a member of a federally recognized tribe with historical ties to Colorado who graduates from a Colorado high school). No fixed GPA cutoff; selection is holistic. Relatives of Boettcher trustees, officers, or employees are not eligible.
Up to $20,000 per year (toward total cost of attendance or tuition and fees, depending on funding model) for up to four years - up to $80,000 total - plus mentorship and enrichment funding.
