High school students with disabilities write an original ten-minute script — a stage play, screenplay, or musical theater piece — for the Kennedy Center's Access/VSA Playwright Discovery Program. Selected writers, generally ages 14-19, receive financial stipends, one-on-one mentorship from a professional dramaturg, virtual script-development sessions, and an in-person trip to Washington, D.C. to work with professional actors and designers. International applicants are welcome as long as materials are submitted in English or ASL.
