The Illinois Bankers Scholarship Fund awards several $1,000 scholarships a year (plus a related Linda J. Koch Scholarship for applicants who show exemplary leadership and hold at least a 3.0 GPA) to high school graduates and undergraduates planning a career in banking or a related financial-services field. Applicants must be sponsored by an officer at an Illinois Bankers Association member bank, submit GPA/transcripts and a short 250-word essay on their interest in banking, and can attend any accredited in-state or out-of-state college. Illinois residency is not required and no financial need is demonstrated.
