Presidential Scholar is the College of Wooster's top merit award, covering full tuition for first-year domestic and international students. It typically goes to applicants with an unweighted GPA of 3.8 or higher in a rigorous curriculum and, where reported, a class rank in the top 15%. No separate scholarship application is required, but an interview is required — either during the Priority Round (via Fall Visit Day) or in the Standard Round by January 24. Priority Round applicants who apply by November 1 are notified by December 31; Standard Round applicants are notified by February 1. The award renews annually by maintaining a 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
DemographicsRequires admission to The College of Wooster; awarded through the admission review process — an interview is required, either in the Priority Round or the Standard Round.
