The AHEPA Educational Foundation runs a slate of named scholarship funds (up to $2,500 each) for high school seniors, college students, and graduate students who are of Hellenic descent or self-identify as Phil-Hellenes. The applicant, or a parent/grandparent, must be an active, current-year-paid member of the AHEPA family (AHEPA, Daughters of Penelope, Sons of Pericles, or Maids of Athena). Requires a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA (self-converted by the applicant if the school uses a different scale), an official transcript, two non-family recommendation letters, and a passport-size (2x2) photo; a separate need-based $10,000 award (Chariclea Christodulakis-Cummins Fund) exists for one graduating female high school senior. Mailed paper applications only, sent as one complete package via trackable delivery (USPS certified/FedEx/UPS/DHL) — no email or fax, and the packet must be RECEIVED (not merely postmarked) by the deadline.
DemographicsRequires the applicant (or a parent/grandparent) to be a current-year paid AHEPA-family member AND of Hellenic descent or a Phil-Hellene — not open to the general public. A recipient may receive this award only once ever as an undergraduate, and only once ever as a graduate student.
Up to $2,500 per named fund; separately, a one-time $10,000 need-based award exists for one graduating female HS senior (Chariclea Christodulakis-Cummins Fund)
