Little People of America awards three scholarships each year -- two for undergraduate study and one for graduate study -- to people with a medically diagnosed form of dwarfism, giving preference first to LPA members, then to immediate family members of LPA members with dwarfism, then to non-member applicants with dwarfism. Applicants submit a 1,000-word essay on promoting diversity and inclusion, and graduate recipients may reapply up to two additional times. Reported award amounts have ranged from $250 to $1,000 (occasionally more); the 2026-27 cycle closed with an April 5, 2026 deadline.
DemographicsPriority order: LPA members with dwarfism, then immediate family members of LPA members with dwarfism, then people with dwarfism who are not LPA members.
Reported range $250-$1,000 (occasionally more) across the program's three annual awards (two undergraduate, one graduate); LPA's own scholarship page does not republish current-year amounts.
