GSBA, Washington State's LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce, awards scholarships to Washington residents pursuing a certificate, associate's, bachelor's, or (in limited cases) graduate degree, with preference to LGBTQ+ students, members of LGBTQ+ families, and actively supportive allies. There is no minimum GPA requirement; the application asks four essay questions, capped at 500 words each, covering educational goals, community involvement, LGBTQ+ issues, and financial need. GSBA expects 25 open scholarships for the 2026-27 cycle from up to 400 applicants. Applications open October 11 and closed January 9, 2026 for that cycle; the 2027-28 cycle has not yet been posted.
