County Sheriffs of Colorado awards about 30 scholarships of $500 each year (Pueblo County awards $1,000) to graduating seniors who are permanent legal residents of a participating Colorado county. Participating counties rotate by even- and odd-numbered graduating class years; Pitkin, Broomfield, and San Miguel counties never participate. No CSOC honorary membership is required to apply, and there are no restrictions on course of study.
