The Arizona State Elks Association's Vocational Grant Award helps graduating Arizona high school seniors pay for a two-year-or-shorter vocational or technical program — an associate degree, diploma, or certificate below the bachelor's level. Judges weigh your motivation, financial need, skills for your chosen field, and how complete and organized your application is, based on a personal statement of up to 250 words, four letters of recommendation, and your official transcript. You don't need to be related to an Elks member to apply, though you must be a U.S. citizen and an Arizona resident when you file. The grant is paid directly to your school once you're registered.
