ScholarSHPE is the SHPE Foundation's common application, through which graduating high school seniors beginning a STEM degree (at a community college or 4-year university) can apply to a bundle of named scholarships in one submission. It requires a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, active SHPE membership, and opens once a year in early February for a two-week window.
DemographicsApplicant must be an active SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) member, plan to pursue a STEM major, and plan to enroll full-time at an accredited 2- or 4-year institution for 2026-27. SHPE-funded awards do not require US citizenship, though some corporate-sponsor-funded awards within the bundle do. There is no per-application fee, though SHPE student membership itself may carry nominal annual dues (pricing not published) -- this is a membership requirement, not a contest entry fee.
Amount varies by which named scholarship(s) an applicant is matched to; over $6,000,000 has been awarded across more than 1,500 scholarships since 2018, but the per-award figure is not published on the eligibility page.
