The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) runs three scholarships from one shared application: the CSM Virgil R. Williams Scholarship ($2,000, with one applicant also receiving an additional $10,000 bonus sponsored by the Armed Forces Benefits Association), the $1,000 Patriot Scholarship, and three $1,000 CSMAC scholarships drawn from the same applicant pool. All three are open to EANGUS members or their dependent children pursuing an undergraduate degree, and funds are paid directly to the recipient's school; previous winners may not reapply. EANGUS also partners with four universities (Columbia Southern, American Military University, University of Phoenix, and Grand Canyon University) on separate full-tuition or full-academic scholarships open to members and, in most cases, spouses and dependents as well. The 2026 direct-scholarship cycle closed April 15; the program reopens for 2027 applications in early 2027.
