First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard award up to 19 Community Scholarships of $2,000 each year to graduating South Dakota high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited South Dakota college, university, technical school, junior college, or community college in the fall term. The student or a parent/guardian must hold a First PREMIER Bank checking or savings account (a new account needs only a $50 minimum deposit, which the family keeps -- not a fee); the program is not available to Huron High School or Dakota Valley High School students. Recipients are chosen for community service, academic achievement, and other factors. Applications for the 2026-27 school year have already closed (34 Community and Employee-Dependent scholarships were awarded in 2026); the next application opens in February 2027.
