South Dakota CattleWomen awards two $1,000 scholarships a year through its Next Generation Scholarship fund. You can apply as a graduating high school senior (age 17+, expected to graduate that spring) or as a current college student, and the money is released after you finish your first semester. There's no required major, but you'll write a short essay on how you plan to use your education to support the beef industry, along with a transcript, ACT scores if you're still in high school, a resume, and two recommendation letters.
