The Trustee Scholarship is the University of Southern California's highest-value merit award for incoming first-year students, valued at USC's full-time tuition rate for up to eight semesters. There's no separate application, essay, or interview: every first-year applicant is automatically considered for USC's merit scholarships (Trustee, Presidential, and Dean's, among others) through the regular admission application, and USC's Office of Admission determines which award, if any, a student receives — students cannot apply for a specific one by name. To be considered, apply through USC's Early Action or Early Decision plan by November 1; Regular Decision applicants are not eligible for merit scholarship consideration. Merit scholarships are renewable for up to eight semesters of undergraduate study provided a student maintains USC's academic standing requirements, and a student who qualifies for more than one merit award receives only the one with the greatest value.
DemographicsRequires admission to USC via Early Action or Early Decision by Nov 1. No separate application — automatically considered from that application; open to all majors nationwide.
USC ties the Trustee Scholarship's value to the full-time tuition rate but does not publish an exact dollar figure or the number awarded each year.
