The Fraternal Order of Police Associate Lodge of Kentucky's Dr. William C. Creech Memorial Scholarship goes to a graduating Kentucky senior whose parent, stepparent, or guardian is an active, retired, disabled, or deceased Kentucky law-enforcement officer who belongs to the Fraternal Order of Police of Kentucky. Winners are chosen by the highest grade average among applicants who show financial need, based on an official high school transcript covering the last three and a half years. It's free to apply -- just a completed application form and transcript, no essay required -- and applications are due about two weeks before the Lodge's Spring Board Meeting each year.
